Welcome to our Centre!
As a valued service of Help Disability Care, our McIntyre Centre aims to improve the physical, social and mental health for children and adults with disability through equine-assisted therapy, sport and recreational programs.
We offer riding support to both people with and without disability, with many of our Equine Learning Programs individualised and focused on achieving specific learning goals identified in collaboration with participants, families and school staff (where applicable).
Our RIDING Community
Our professional, qualified and caring instructors maintain the highest safety standards. Our herd of horses enables us to appropriately match and accommodate our riders' needs and abilities. McIntyre Centre also has a team of trained volunteers who provide physical assistance and encouragement during lessons to riders who require additional support.
Affiliations & Accreditations
We are a PATH International Centre Member and accredited by Riding for Disabled Association Queensland (RDAQ). Within our team, we also have two PATH accredited coaches, four Level 1 RDAQ accredited staff and a recognised Physiotherapist trained in Hippotherapy.
